About Kronos

How this works
PAPER · SIMULATED — NOT INVESTMENT ADVICE

What this is

Kronos is a personal, daily stock-forecast tool. After each market close, an AI model — Kronos, a time-series foundation model — forecasts the watchlist. The app then shows which names look strongest relative to the rest of the pack.

It is long/cash only — there is no shorting yet. On any given day the honest answer might be “hold cash,” and that’s fine.

Why relative, not up/down

Here’s the honest part. The pretrained model is broadly bearish on US stocks — it forecasts almost everything down. So its raw up/down direction calls are not trustworthy on their own.

What is useful is the ranking: which names the model likes more than others. So we subtract the average forecast across the whole watchlist and trade the spread — the relative strength of each name versus the basket. A name can be a buy candidate even while the model expects the broad market to fall, simply because it looks least-bad / most-good relative to the pack.

How to read it

  • Relative strength % — how much a name beats the watchlist average. Positive (green) means it’s expected to outperform the basket; negative (red) means underperform. This is the signal we actually trade.
  • Rank — where the name sits versus everything else. Rank 1 is the strongest relative to the basket.
  • Confidence badge — HIGH MEDIUM LOW reflects how much the model’s sampled paths agree with each other.
  • The forecast cone — the shaded band around the projected price. A wider cone means the model is less certain; a tighter cone means more agreement.
  • “No signal today” — a perfectly normal outcome. If nothing beats the basket by enough, the tool simply says hold cash. No signal is not a failure.

What it is NOT

  • Not investment advice. Nothing here is a recommendation to buy or sell anything.
  • Paper and simulated only. No real money is at stake. These are tracked predictions, not trades.
  • Not real-time. The model runs once a day, after the close — not intraday.
  • Not a guarantee. Forecasts are estimates with real uncertainty, which is exactly what the cone is showing you.
  • Not an oracle. The model is a tool. The whole point of this app is to measure, over time, whether its edge is actually real.

The honest experiment

Alongside the AI-guided picks, the app runs silent index benchmarks — plain buy-and-hold of broad indices like SPY (arriving in a later wave). They run quietly in the background for one reason: to test whether active, AI-guided trading actually beats just holding an index.

If the model adds real value, the numbers will show it. If it doesn’t, the numbers will show that too. The app is built to tell the truth either way — that’s the entire point.
